The Bloomington Chiropractic Team

Jessica

My name is Jessica and I have been with Bly Family Chiropractic for 9 years and I am the insurance secretary. I am cross-trained in all areas of the office which includes therapy and front desk. The most gratifying aspect of working for Dr. Bly is being able to see the changes patient’s make from their 1st visit to their re-evaluation.
I moved to Bloomington \ Normal in 1999 and have since married and had a child. My husband's name is Joshua and my son's name is Elliott. I enjoy spending time with my family on the weekends and weeknights. I have recently lost 40 pounds and gained a love for exercise and running.
My personal success story I would like to share with you regarding chiropractic care is when I had a bad case of sciatica. I was working at a local deli in town and I would get this excruciating pain going from my left buttock to my left thigh. There were days where I couldn’t even lie on my back, stand up nor sit comfortably. As soon as I started working at Bly Chiropractic I began treatment for my sciatica pain and have not had symptoms return since.
The most gratifying aspect of working for Dr. Bly is being able to see the changes patient’s make from their 1st visit to their re-evaluation. Chiropractic care is amazing and I recommend it to all of my friends and family!

Chris

Hello, my name is Chris and I have been a resident of Bloomington for 26 years and I have been employed at Bly Chiropractic Clinic for 2 years. I am cross-trained in the front desk area and physiotherapy. Some of the therapy treatments we offer here are electrical muscle stimulation, laser therapy, intersegmental traction, and cervical\lumbar decompression. Seeing a patient come in with pain and leave with less or no pain is why I enjoy what I do. The most rewarding part of my job is providing relief to those in pain.
Mary

My name is Mary and when I first joined Bly Chiropractic, I was the Physiotherapist and I helped patients with pain and helped them heal through muscle stimulation, ultrasound and many other therapies. Through the years, I have learned much about chiropractic and other holistic care. With this knowledge and the desire to use other modalities to help the body heal itself, I decided to go to school for massage therapy. The learning facility I chose, Healthy Connections School of Massage Therapy, is located here in Bloomington. There I learned all of the aspects of massage : Pathology, extensive anatomy, ethics and bodywork.
During my training I also studied Reflexology, Reiki, Polarity, Swedish massage and Myofacial release. There are so many different modalities in massage and body work. My massage instructor and I knew at once that my focus would be deep tissue massage, therapy for tension and pain relief. I graduated from HCSMI and passed the National Board for Therapeutic Massage and Body Work and received my professional license from the state of Illinois.
My commitment to my practice is to always be informed and prepared to take care of my clients. From Swedish massage, trigger point therapy, reflexology, to prenatal care and deep tissue massage, I am always learning and incorporating new techniques to better myself as an LMT.
It doesn’t matter what you are suffering from or even if you don’t have any pain, massage therapy will improve you physical and mental health. Massage is my passion, and being able to work with Doctors of Chiropractic to improve the health and physical well being of my clients is amazing. Come and see me soon!
