Bly Family Chiropractic : We Can Help
Our Bloomington, IL chiropractic office uses techniques that help our patients enjoy the fastest results in the shortest amount of time. As Bloomington, IL chiropractors there are certain health conditions we especially enjoy helping. For us, our most rewarding cases involve…
Headaches are a sign that something’s wrong. Because headaches are so common, some people think that getting a headache is just a normal part of life. A frequent and overlooked cause of headaches is the malfunction of spinal bones in the neck and upper back. When bones of the spine lose their normal position or motion, sensitive nerves and blood vessels to the head can be affected.
When spinal nerves and related tissues are stretched or irritated, they can produce throbbing headaches. Aspirin and medications may cover up these warning signs, but do not correct the underlying structural cause. Specific chiropractic adjustments can help correct spinal joint dysfunction created by the various chemical, emotional and physical stresses in our lives.
The sciatic nerves are the largest nerves of the body. It measures about the size of a thumb in diameter and runs down the back of each leg. One of the most common cases of sciatic leg pain is the Nerve Impingement Syndrome. It can be accompanied by the bulging or herniation of the soft pulpy discs which separate each spinal bone.
This can irritate or put pressure on the sciatic nerve roots as they leave the spinal cord and then cause intense pain shooting down the leg. Our chiropractic approach is to use controlled pressure to remove the interference from spinal structures which can be quite effective in reducing nerve irritation and its associated pain.
Nearly everyone knows what whiplash is, but not everyone realizes it is one of the most misunderstood injuries of our day, both for patients and their doctors–except doctors of chiropractic! Since the cervical spine is the most easily injured part of the spinal column–due to the weight of the head and the flexibility of the neck–major symptoms are easily recognizable such as stiffness in the neck, restriction of motion, heaviness of head, neck and shoulders and headaches.
Symptoms could emerge later, even if the victim feels there is no injury at the time of the accident. Even if you do not notice symptoms of an injury, a thorough chiropractic examination is a “must” after an accident. A spine and nerve test is painless and can reveal quickly if chiropractic can help you.
We also enjoy helping patients with:
Neck pain, numbness and tingling, migraines, sinus and allergy issues, children, automobile and work related accidents, senior citizens, scoliosis, sports injuries, arthritis and TMJ.
